I have enjoyed photography as a hobby since I was a child. However, it was while living in San Francisco, CA in my early 20’s that I developed my talent by attending photography school. I also made an investment in one of the first truly compact digital cameras on the consumer market and I spent countless nights and evenings soaking up interesting shots in a diverse and striking city.
My photographic interests took a creative turn in 2003. I was hiking to a favorite rock climbing spot and I came across the remains of a Model T automobile along the Eagle Rive near Vail, CO. Admiring the form of the rusted body parts strune about the tall grass, I recalled a photograph of a junker classic car I took in San Francisco. The perfectly rectangular window opening of the Model T’s door wasn’t made to simply hold a sheet of glass; it was a remarkable frame for my photo!
I’ve been combining photography and art in unique and unconventional ways ever since. However, much of my focus has remained true to my original inspiration as is evident in the body of work displayed at the Peanut Gallery."
